High Gas Prices Fuel Interest in Motorcycles
Jun 1, 2009
As gas prices hover around the $1.00 per litre mark there has never been a better time to think about riding a motorcycle. Whether for commuting to work, running errands around town or dropping the kids off at sports the two-wheeled gas misers are making a strong come-back.
With a wide variety of models, it is all about choice for the rider. From scooters to high mileage cruisers and sport touring bikes, there are configurations for comfort, storage and performance.
Most models achieve an average fuel efficiency rating of greater than 50 mpg making owning a motorcycle a lot more justifiable in today’s economic climate. Most vehicles when used for getting to work typically only have one person in them, making it extremely inefficient and a poor choice for the environment and the wallet. Riding a motorcycle with at least double the fuel efficiency is simply a smart choice. |
